Dear CKAA members (and members to be),
I welcome you to our organization. Along with Melinda Choi (VP), Cathy Choi (Treasurer), & Haneol Cho (Membership Chair), we are all honored to be serving the Cornell Korean Alumni Association as your officers for the upcoming year.
Because of our founding officers and board of directors, CKAA became a reality in 2006. Their collective vision and efforts were instrumental in making this organization a tremendous resource for Korean alumni of Cornell and their friends and families. Importantly, CKAA is here to help all of you. Whether it involves career mentoring, community service, or even fun social gatherings, our goal is to bring our Cornell family closer together.
For many of us, 2008 was a challenging year. As we navigate through these economic times, CKAA remains an important resource to all of you. Please check our newly updated website for upcoming events and news.
Having strong relationships is fundamental in making a successful organization. CKAA is actively involved with groups such as CAAA (Cornell Asian Alumni Association), the Cornell Club of Korea and many of the student organizations at Cornell such as KSA and KASA. In addition, we are dedicated in supporting the East Asian Studies Program at Cornell and various charities.
To help us grow and achieve all our goals, I ask you all to be involved in CKAA. Please encourage your fellow alumni/friends/family to sign up as members and come join us for our CKAA events. We will keep our upcoming events posted on this website and will keep you up to date on CKAA news and activities.
Thank you again for your support and participation.
Sincerely,
Edgar Lee '98
President
