12/1/07 Proffessor Diffloth Commemoration Dinner
As many of you may know, last semester Proffessor Diffloth retired after 20 years of service. To honor her, a dinner was held on 12/1 with a group of Korean students, faculty and alumni. CKAA participated by honoring her with a plaque as well.

Honoring Yongkeun Joh
Grantor of Food Science Department Annual Scholarship for selected Korean, Asian students in 3 categories: undergraduate, masters and doctorate degree for last 5 years. Recently appointed as one of the "Councilman" of the University. Endowed Yongkeun Joh professorship for Food Science Department at Cornell. In addition, he has made generous contributions to Korean Studies, Cornell alumni and students activities.
07/06 Honoring a Friend of Cornell
Official name of the event was: Dedication of the Il Hwan Cho and Soon Ja Cho Seminar Room for Asian Thought, Culture, and Religion. Date and time was July 8, 2006 3:00 PM. The room was in Kroch Library. Sara E. Thomas, The Carl A. Kroch University Librarian, and other librarian staff as well as Cornell Asian Study faculty members and family and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Cho joined the dedication ceremony. In additions to generous contributions made over the few years, his most remarkable contribution was Pal Man Dae Jang Kyung that became the center piece of the Chor Room. Not a Cornell Alumnae but he sees a bright future of Korean and North-East Asian studies at Cornell.
